— Project intent
A precise answer to the site and programme.
A newly built four-facade single-family house of approximately 160 m² in Meux, in the province of Namur, Wallonia, designed with a restrained and contemporary architectural language. The project is set within a quiet peri-urban environment, with a carefully considered siting that optimises solar orientation and natural light distribution across all elevations. The clean and balanced massing ensures a coherent presence within the streetscape while protecting the privacy of the interior living spaces.
The residential programme, covering around 160 m², organises domestic functions in a fluid sequence, emphasising spatial quality and the relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding garden. Every architectural decision reflects a consistent balance between comfort, durability, and contextual integration within the built landscape of the municipality.
This new residential construction project was designed by STARC, an architecture firm based in Gembloux, active across Wallonia and Brussels, with full architectural responsibility from design through to completion in 2025.
