What is a cookie?#
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. In Belgium, Article 10/2 of the Act of 30 July 2018 requires your consent before any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the website to function.
Cookies used on starc.be#
The website only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function. No advertising, profiling, audience measurement or social media cookies are set. This is why no consent banner is displayed.

Your browser also keeps the map backgrounds already displayed in memory, so that they load faster. This technical storage contains no personal data.
Third-party content#
The maps on the Projects and Contact pages load their backgrounds from MapTiler's servers (Switzerland), which receive your IP address in the process, without setting any cookie.
The links to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Calendly are plain links: these services set no cookies unless you open them.
Managing cookies#
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the language cookie does not prevent you from using the website, but your choice of language will not be remembered.
