In Hévillers, in the province of Walloon Brabant, STARC designed in 2024 a detached four-bedroom single-family house with a basement, carefully positioned within the local residential fabric. The clear and balanced volumetry of this new build integrates discreetly into its surroundings while asserting a confident contemporary architectural identity.
The layout organises the living spaces on the ground floor around a logic of spatial flow and natural light, while the four bedrooms on the upper level benefit from a considered orientation. The basement provides additional usable floor area, addressing practical storage needs and enhancing the overall functionality of the home.
The architectural approach favours sober forms and well-calibrated proportions, hallmarks of a durable residential architecture rooted in its Wallonian context. As an architecture firm active across Wallonia and Brussels, STARC demonstrates through this project its ability to design individual homes that combine constructive rigour with genuine quality of life for their occupants.
