— Project intent

A precise answer to the site and programme.

A new four-facade detached house in Falaën, in the province of Namur, designed by architecture firm STARC around a generous residential programme that combines family living with functional flexibility.

The project establishes a clear and balanced volume within the rural landscape of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region, with a site orientation carefully chosen to maximise natural light throughout the day. The restrained architectural expression integrates thoughtfully into its built surroundings while asserting a distinctly contemporary character.

The programme includes four bedrooms, two home offices, two bathrooms and convertible attic space, providing significant capacity to evolve with the household's needs over time. The interior layout draws a clear hierarchy between living, sleeping and working areas, responding to the varied demands of modern family life.

The quality of the spaces, the rationality of the floor plan and the careful attention to the relationship between interior and exterior make this house a compelling example of contemporary residential architecture in Wallonia.
