— Project intent
A precise answer to the site and programme.
This new-build project in Incourt, in the province of Walloon Brabant, is a four-facade single-storey villa designed with a clear and restrained architectural approach. The entire programme is laid out on a single level, ensuring full accessibility and a seamless flow of everyday living without any changes in floor height.
The volumetric strategy centres on simplicity and coherence, with an open implantation that engages with the rural landscape surrounding Incourt. The layout makes the most of natural light across all four orientations, establishing a direct and continuous relationship between the interior living spaces and the outdoors.
Designed by STARC, an architecture firm based in Gembloux and active across Wallonia and Brussels, this residential project reflects a commitment to sober formal language, practical quality of use, and thoughtful integration within a peri-urban context in Walloon Brabant. The villa demonstrates how contemporary single-storey living can combine architectural clarity with long-term comfort and adaptability.
