In Sauvenière, in the province of Namur (Wallonia), STARC designed a mixed-use complex bringing together office spaces, industrial warehouses and a contemporary dwelling of approximately 150 m², topped by a rooftop terrace and a swimming pool.
The architectural concept is built on a clear and deliberate volumetry that articulates the various functions of the programme without imposing a rigid hierarchy between them. The building's implantation on the site carefully separates the circulation flows related to professional activities from those serving the residential unit, while preserving an overall coherence in the architectural language.
The rooftop and pool elevate the dwelling to the top of the structure, granting it an exceptional relationship with the sky and the surrounding landscape of Wallonia. This residential component, placed above an unambiguously industrial and tertiary programme, generates a creative tension that defines the project's identity.
Completed in 2023, this project reflects the architecture firm's ability to address complex, hybrid briefs by balancing functional pragmatism with genuine architectural ambition.
