— Project intent
A precise answer to the site and programme.
A four-facade detached house designed in Erpent, in the province of Namur, with a clear volumetric approach and careful integration into the surrounding residential fabric. Completed in 2022, the project responds to a turnkey brief developed end-to-end to provide a functional, light-filled living environment that sits harmoniously within its context.
The siting takes full advantage of the plot configuration to free all four facades and establish a generous relationship with the outdoor surroundings. The restrained and balanced massing avoids any sense of heaviness while clearly organising the interior spaces around natural light.
The design, carried out by the architecture firm STARC, reflects a consistent focus on the quality of living spaces, the legibility of the project and its long-term durability. Every spatial decision stems from rigorous architectural thinking rather than an accumulation of formal gestures.
This project illustrates STARC's ability to address residential commissions across Wallonia with care and precision, placing use, light and landscape integration at the heart of every design choice.
