Located in Grez-Doiceau, in Walloon Brabant, this four-facade villa spanning three levels is a carefully considered residential architecture project developed following a commission handover, with planning permission successfully obtained. The project demonstrates the practice's ability to integrate seamlessly into an ongoing design process while delivering a coherent and fully resolved architectural proposal.
The villa's volumetric composition articulates three distinct living levels, establishing a clear spatial hierarchy between daytime areas, private quarters and transitional spaces. The building's positioning on the plot prioritises natural light in the main living areas, and the swimming pool extends the inhabited space outward in a natural and fluid manner.
The four facades give the house a confident presence within the residential character of Grez-Doiceau, with a balanced composition of solid surfaces and openings that reads as calm and unified. STARC oversaw the full architectural coordination of the project, from the initial review of the existing documentation through to the granting of the urban planning permit.
