A detached four-facade family house was designed and built in Orp-Jauche, in Walloon Brabant, with a classical architectural approach carefully considered to blend into its rural setting. The compact volume, aligned with the street and parallel to the neighbouring buildings, reflects a strong commitment to urban integration and contextual coherence.
Brick facades and a dark tile roof echo the architectural character of the surrounding built environment, while white window frames introduce a controlled contrast. Generous openings in the living areas bring ample natural light into the interior and establish a direct visual connection with the garden.
The programme includes a garage alongside two additional parking spaces at the front of the plot, meeting contemporary mobility needs without compromising the readability of the street facade. Designed by the architecture firm STARC, this residential project demonstrates how a restrained, material-driven design can engage meaningfully with a rural landscape while fully addressing the practical requirements of family living.
