— Project intent
A precise answer to the site and programme.
In La Bruyère, in the province of Namur (Wallonia), STARC handled a planning regularisation concerning the modification of the render colour applied to the facades of two existing annexe volumes. The application followed a previous building permit submission in which an encoding error in the materials schedule had incorrectly indicated a dark, black-toned render for the facades of the extensions.
Following correction, the choice was redirected towards a beige-toned render, a more neutral finish better suited to the built context. This chromatic adjustment establishes a coherent materiality between the annexe volumes and the main building, allowing the ensemble to be read as a unified architectural whole from the public realm.
Beyond its administrative dimension, this intervention reflects the architecture firm's commitment to facade harmony and contextual integration, even within the framework of regulatory compliance procedures. The selection of a light, understated tone reinforces the sobriety of the architectural expression and ensures a respectful insertion of the project into its rural Walloon setting.
