— Project intent

A precise answer to the site and programme.

In Sauvenière, in the province of Namur, this project involves the design and construction of a group of three contemporary terraced houses conceived as a coherent architectural ensemble within an existing village context in Wallonia. The proposal responds to the local built fabric while providing each dwelling with its own domestic quality and identity.

The linear implantation follows the rhythm and scale of the rural streetscape typical of the Namur region, ensuring a thoughtful integration into the existing urban grain. The facade composition relies on a controlled materiality in which the repetition of architectural elements generates overall coherence without monotony.

Each home is designed to maximise natural light and to establish a clear relationship between living spaces and private outdoor areas. The careful articulation of interior-exterior transitions, combined with a restrained volumetric approach, reflects an architectural commitment to durability and landscape sensitivity.

This residential architecture project, designed by STARC, demonstrates the firm's ability to develop grouped housing schemes that balance urban coherence, architectural quality, and the demands of contemporary living in the Belgian region of Wallonia.
